Solenoid Directional Control Valve Works Without Heat Exchangers

Solenoid directional control valve are a more cost effective choice as compared to other valves on the market. These valves are an essential part in hydraulic equipment and pneumatic machinery. They let fluid run into different paths from one or more sources. They are used with single and double acting cylinders and are a reliable choice for aerospace projects. Valves are chosen according to the number of ports, number of positions, actuating methods and type of spool required.

The poppet-style valves are designed to offer zero leakage. The strong aerodynamic seals used in the valves are most durable. You can use the valves with hydraulic pumps to maintain the most favorable pressures. When the hydraulic supply does not require any electric power to function, it helps save on cost of the project. Most valves require heat exchangers but not the solenoid directional poppet-style valves.  You can easily mount the valves to international standard sub plates: D03, NG6, and ISO 03.

The D03 is available in various configurations to suit your project requirements. Get pressures of up to 5000 psi (340 bar) while saving on energy. Interface Devices Inc. (IDI) is popular for their
boosters, pneumatic and hydraulic pumps and valves. The company has been in the news for their poppet-style valves that feature aircraft-grade 7075 T651 aluminum body and heat-treated poppet seats.

Due to the smart engineering of the valves, they are safe, low maintenance and easy to work with.  You can use more than one valve on a single system and use more than one cylinder with the valve. For applications that require power workholding, the poppet-style valves are most popular. For faster delivery of liquids and for best performance use the valves with E, H & P Series liquid pumps made by IDI.

Solenoid Directional Control Valve Does Not Generate Heat

Solenoid directional control valve are used for reliable actuation of single or double acting cylinders. These affordable valves are well celebrated and have been used in aerospace projects. The poppet-style valves have zero leakage and can be used with almost all hydraulic pumps to maintain the desired pressures. The hydraulic supply does not consume any energy or generate any heat while functioning. The valves can be mounted to international standard sub plates: D03, NG6, and ISO 03.

You can get the D03 valves in 2 position, 4-way; 3 position, 4-way; and 3-way configurations. They can generate pressures up to 5000 psi (340 bar) and are rated as a more economical choice as compared to other valves. These valves are best used with IDI air-driven liquid pumps.

The valves feature aircraft-grade 7075 T651 aluminum body and heat-treated poppet seats. The lightweight and durable valves can be used for the most demanding applications. They require little or no maintenance and have a long service life. When you are using more than one cylinder, use the solenoid directional control valves made by IDI. They have a slim profile and you can mount multiple valves on a single system.

The solenoid valves fit on standard 4" (101.6mm) centered D03 (NG6, ISO 6) valve pads.  It has a built-in isolation check which makes it perfect for use in applications that call for multiple valves.  The poppet-style valves are ideal for use in power workholding when used with the E, H & P Series liquid pumps made by IDI.

In higher pressure applications, these valves perform better than spool valves. They deliver the liquids faster and are made of high grade materials.  Solenoids valves are available in most voltages and use low amps as compared to others on the market.

The benefits of Air driven Liquid Pumps

Air driven liquid pumps have long been used in several essential applications in all industrial processes that require movement of liquid content efficiently. The application industries include petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and a large number of chemical manufacturing setups.

These pumps have started to replace similar components for several important reasons. To understand this, it is essential that the installation scenarios should be understood as well. Many industrial processes have ingredients or final product in liquid form. In order to move this liquid, a series of pumps is installed at strategic points. The setup and operational parameters of these pumps are very much dependent on the composition and properties of the liquid. In the case of corrosive or inflammable ingredients, the process requires specially fabricated pumps that remain unaffected by the properties of the liquid. In the case of HAZMAT, the need for continued operation in a safe environment is critical. Thus, not every pump could be used in these scenarios.

Air driven liquid pumps offer highly reliable operation that forms the backbone of the particular industrial process. This reliability is one of the best-known features of these pumps. Continued performance is made possible because of simple construction that does not require complicated parts and connections.

Perhaps the most important operational aspect of air driven liquid pumps is the fact that they do not require electricity to operate. This is a much-advertised feature because it makes the usage possible in situations where heat or spark is a real hazard.   Since all the operations are carried out pneumatically, these pumps are ideal for all scenarios that include inflammable liquids.

The cost of the pumps is another important benefit that ensures that the managers and process design engineers opt for these pumps in all possible applications.

Solenoid Directional Control Valve is Made of Durable Materials

Solenoid directional control valve is used in the hydraulics industry. These types of valves use electromechanical solenoids for sliding of the spool. These valves are used extensively because they can be simply controlled by electric power. To generate large forces the valve needs large amounts of electrical power.  The valves heat up over a period of time and hence pose a threat to extended use. The duty cycles can be limited to prevent heat generation. Their direct acting can only be used for low actuating forces.

Low power solenoid valves operate small pilots that start the flow of liquid that drives a larger hydraulic valve that uses more power. The 3 ported 2 position valve is a pilot valve also called bi-stable pneumatic valve. It can retain its position during loss of power.

Directional control valves can be classified according to number of ports, number of positions, actuating methods and type of spool. The number of entries and exits through which fluid flows in and out of the valve establishes it as a two way or a three way or a four way valve.

Number of positions refers to the normal and working positions which a valve spool can take. You can have a two position, three position and proportional valves. There are four basic actuating methods for these valves: manual, mechanical, hydraulic and solenoid. Simple levers and paddles are used in manual valves. Springs are used to recover the valve position.  A lever or external pneumatic or hydraulic signal is used to return the spool. In mechanical valves, cams, wheels, rollers are used to apply force. These are not as durable and have a limited life. Hydraulic valves are used for higher pressures. They are made of durable materials.
